Technology Development
The position requires a combination of molecular biology, gene editing, and cell culture knowledge and skill sets. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to practice cutting-edge genome engineering techniques and make an impact to human health. This position reports to the Executive Director of R&D.
Responsibilities
Design and perform gene-editing in cell lines and construct high-quality gene-editing cell lines
Aid maintenance and optimization of gene-editing techniques.
Perform identification and functional analysis in gene-editing cell lines.
Aid experiments for pig cloning from constructed cell lines.
Invent new techniques for gene-editing cell line construction.
Report summarized results in internal and external meetings. Prepare publication- and patent application- related documents.
Train and instruct Cell Biology Assistant
Aid establishment of high-quality gene-editing procedure and QA/QC system.
Qualifications
Ph.D. degree with 5+ years of experience in gene-editing and transgenic animal, especially transgenic mouse and transgenic pig research.
Extensive experience in mammalian primary cell culture and CRISPR/Cas9 gene-editing experiments.
Capable of independently design experiments with strong and strict scientific discipline.
Extremely accountable for cell culture practice.
Innovative, capable of independent thinking and solving scientific problems.
Strong communication skills, strong project management and organization skills
Strong in scientific English reading and writing.
